Biden is in Toledo today.

Literally zero mentions anywhere in my social media. No support, promotion, or hate. Fucking weird.

So Biden was in Toledo yesterday for a rally, and I openly questioned why I had heard nothing about it.

Here's a tweet that claims more Trump supporters were there, but the camera clearly stops prior to where an audience would be so I immediately smelled bullshit.
However, here is video of the actual crowd from the crowd itself. (My favorite is the SUV turned the wrong way. I'm guessing they are sitting in the back, but it makes the SUV look like someone protesting by turning their back to the speaker.) It's still shockingly small, and quite frankly, embarrassing. An apparent Trump voter in that thread mentions that Biden rallies are "prescreened", which would be interesting and explain the small crowd, but it causes more questions. Why hold such a small rally? Does preaching to the choir accomplish anything? Why does it seem like the cars are being socially distanced? How much money is being spent to make this type of rally happen? Also, I've been to that building, and that's an accurate representation. There's no area nearby that isn't being shown in the video. What you see is legit the crowd. It's just all so odd. Why not hold the rally at the drive-in where you could fit 10x the number of cars and people?

I'm not slamming Biden here or suggesting he has no support like the people in the thread. I'm just so confused about the purpose and logistics behind holding such a tiny rally.

I'm sticking by my prediction of Trump, by a bigger margin than last time.

2016 was a fluke, but the left has been too insulting and violent the last 4 years. People will do it on purpose and with intention, this time.

Saw that and I genuinely hope that's legit how he feels.

It'd be nice if both candidates, and honestly their parties, took hard stances against packing the court, abolishing the Electoral College, not accepting election results, and generally being dicks.

Who is hoping the president does this illegal thing? I missed all the context of this new controversy.

I don't know that it's illegal?

Essentially, the idea of "packing the court" is that instead of 9 justices, a political party could add as many seats as they want then nominate their own folks so they then have a majority on the court.

It's been proposed by multiple high ranking Dems, and pretty much every left wing lunatic on Twitter. The funny part is while they do that they accuse the Republicans of not looking forward to see what problems their actions now will cause. While I agree that is true, how ironic that morons asking to pack the court don't see that when the Rs regain control they can just do the exact same thing.

I look forward to 2090 when there are 16,001 justices on the Supreme Court.

It was a major scandal when FDR tried to do it in the 1930s.

Nowhere in the constitution does it specifically say "9 justices?"

I'll google my own question:

https://www.whitehouse.gov/about-the-wh ... 20Justice.
The Constitution does not stipulate the number of Supreme Court Justices; the number is set instead by Congress. There have been as few as six, but since 1869 there have been nine Justices, including one Chief Justice.
I'm not sure if I never knew that, or used to know that and forgot.

Two people in Harris' staff get the rona.
Joe Biden's presidential campaign said Thursday that vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris will suspend in-person events until Monday after two people associated with the campaign tested positive for coronavirus. The campaign said Biden had no exposure, though he and Harris spent several hours campaigning together in Arizona on Oct. 8.

Harris was scheduled to travel Thursday to North Carolina for events encouraging voters to cast early ballots.

The campaign told reporters Thursday morning that Harris' communications director and a traveling staff member for her travel to Arizona tested positive after that Oct. 8 trip.

Harris and Biden spent several hours together that day through multiple campaign stops, private meetings and a joint appearance in front of reporters at an airport. They were masked at all times in public, and aides said they were masked in private, as well. Biden and Harris have each had multiple negative tests since then.

Trump knows nothing... according to Trump.
And he retweets satire as real.

I'm not hearing much of anything about the townhalls last night. Trump was a troll, Biden was Biden.

It is absolutely censorship, it's just not the government engaging in it. Also, the article I linked discusses how the Post article isn't awesome, which imho gives it (the one I linked, not the Post one) credibility. They openly talk about how it's not the smoking gun they think it is and the dubious information. The important part to focus on was FB and twitter's willingness to block the story and who at the companies are the ones making those decisions.

I often see those little FB fact check things under my right wing FB friends' posts. I almost never see them under my left wing FB friends' posts and they are often just as blatantly bullshit.
