Interesting scenario, but I have a problem with such statements as, "Japan is formidable, but can be ignored because they don't have any aerial refueling tankers." Well, I bet a dollar that if Japan needed them, they'd have some within 3 months. So, war starts, and within half a year countries that were keeping their heads down have time to retool for the new World vs. USA fight.
Which is why we'd need to ignore the "no nukes" rule and EMP the ENTIRE eastern hemisphere. We could have it done completely in about 2 hours.
