1. It is true. Two feet is equal to a body part like a knee.

2. But they did, and therefore this whole conversation is moot because apparently even the rule makers don't know what a catch is anymore.

Going back to a different story, where I'm the asshole for pointing out a false narrative...

Here's your headline: Eagles-Patriots Super Bowl watched by fewer people

Matches what Gordon posted. People are tuning out. That's the narrative. However...
The 103.4 million audience is topped by the past eight Super Bowls and the 1983 Finale of M*A*S*H* (106 million viewers).
Understand this number doesn't include a lot of viewers. Particularly those on mobile devices, overseas, watching on delay, watching without cable/Nielsen book, at restaurants, at parties, etc. And just to compare, the last NBA Finals were the most watched in history which amounted to 20.5 million people.

It also doesn't take into account the fucking boring, cheating ass Patriots in yet another fucking Super Bowl. Viewer fatigue with them is at an all time high. My dad didn't even watch the game as he just assumed the NFL would hand the Patriots a victory.

Anyway, the really interesting fact is buried in the 6th paragraph, which studies have shown most readers don't read:
The viewership this season marked a 20 percent increase from the last time the two teams played in the Super Bowl (XXXIX, 86 million viewers) in February 2005.
Like I said, viewership might be down, but we're talking about record highs.

1. No, not in this case, you are mixing concepts. The rules are very clear. Terrible, but clear.

2. Yeah, well, cannot help you there. :)
Buffalo had the highest percentage of viewers, with 56.4 percent of the market watching Sunday night's game, followed by Philadelphia (56.2 percent), Boston (55.9) and the host market of Minneapolis-St. Paul (54.9).
Buffalo: This is OUR Super Bowl!
Reality: Wait, you mean sitting at home and watching?
Buffalo: YES! So much better than losing 4 in a row.

Super Bowl LII is also the most live-streamed Super Bowl ever, delivering an Average Minute Audience (AMA) of 2.02 million viewers via the NBC Sports app, NBCSports.com, NBC.com ‘TV Everywhere,’ En Vivo app, NFL.com, NFL Mobile from Verizon, the Yahoo Sports app, and go90. Last night’s live stream peaked at 3.1 million concurrent streams.
Hmmm, doesn't include Youtube.TV or was that in the first group?

Really? Explain Clement's TD then. The NFL said that was a catch. If you were a robot Sci-Fi has taught me that your brain would explode at this point.

Doesn't include us. Nor does it include all the folks who watched with their provider's mobile apps.

I've already said that Clement's TD should not have been, according to the rules.

McDaniels to Colts.

There was a rumor that he had the Colts waiting while he waited for Belichick to make his decision.

This would indicate that Belichick is returning, but you never know.

Hey Stranger, Bill Simmons did a podcast yesterday wondering if Cleveland should offer their two first rounders this year and a 2019 1st for Wentz.

Would you do that deal?

Would Phily do that deal? I think there's merit to it because being unbiased and looking at it from both sides I see both as a loser and a winner.

Cleveland loses three critical picks, but gets a franchise QB built to play in the cold. You get a known over three unknowns.

Phily loses their future franchise QB unless Foles is already that guy. Meanwhile, they can draft secondary help or trade for it. They have the opportunity to get strong as hell IF Foles is really a franchise QB.

I think Cleveland should offer their 2 1st rounders + 2019 for Foles, cuz that's more of a Cleveland thing to do :)

I saw that. I am very curious where this is going. I wonder if Bill is retiring now or if Bill told him to stay one more year and he can have the Patriots at that time?

Colts have to be PISSED.

Kraft threw more $ at him, but yeah, I was wondering the same. If Bill said "I suck one more, and I'm done" or such

More money is fine, but he wants to be a head coach. I'm guessing that's part of the deal for him to stay. He gets the team when Bill retires.

Steelers did that with Kevin Butler/Dick Lebeau.

Why McDaniels stayed.

Seems like Bill will be sticking around for another year at the minimum and grooming McDaniels to take over for him.

I respect the fact that this guy tarnished his name a bit by backtracking on this job so he could do right by his family.

Did you see that defense?

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Schiano. Reports have him heading to NE, other reports say he's told players he's not leaving. OSU already has his replacement there.
