Quitting acting in 3 years and calls his career a failure.
First, I don't buy the 3 years thing. Granted, he did want to quit 30 Rock already, but he's an ego maniac. I just can't see him wanting out of the limelight.
Second, maybe he was never Bruce Willis in terms of box office, but he did get to utter one of the greatest lines in movie history (in a terrible film). Name that line...

I AM GOD!
Or something to that effect. Some fraud malpractice melo-drama. Your right though, that movie sucked but that monologue was great and over the top.

You ask me if I have a God complex? Let me tell you something, I am God!
Awesome line and he delivered it perfectly.

I risk offending your obvious crush on Keanu here, but while "Whoa" might truly be forever quoted due to Keanu's unique acting skills and inexplicable fame, the lines are not equal.
The movie Baldwin uttered that line in wasn't some massive budget film that spoke to every shut ins' dream that they're the world's greatest person. It was about our society's doctors and how powerful we've made them through status and by allowing them to make life or death decisions for us.
I am not a Baldwin fan. I think he's an asshole. He treats his daughter poorly and his politics are based on ignorance. I'm just giving credit where credit is due.

If he hadn't been such a tool when making Hunt For Red October then his career might not have tanked so early. No one associated with the film would work with him again after that.

Val Kilmer had that problem too.

But Val, I think, is more talented.
I've never seen Val come across so much as an asshole than just damned weird.

I guess during his Batman film everyone hated working with him. Not because he was a dick, but because he was a perfectionist.

Oh. They didn't want to work with Baldwin because he was such a diva/prick

Alec vs the cops. One on hand, I hate bikers that get to ignore all the road rules I have to follow in a car. On the other hand, I can think of no greater waste of resources than traffic cops.
