The story is told in 2nd person, and is structured as a "self help" book with titles providing advice, with stories relating somewhat to the title of each chapter. The main character, you, are growing up in a nameless rural Asian country, eventually moving to the city to try and trying to make a living, and the challenges he faces in relationships and business.
