That was one of the previews last night in Hostage. Not sure if I'd like it, but definitely had a really cool look to it. And yeah lot's of big names. I'll prolly see it if one of the guys drag me to it.

Damnit I saw Hostage tonight but was running late and missed the previews. Apparently the movie takes from about 3 different short stories from the comics for the main part of the flick, the creater was co-director so comic fans should be happy at least.

The creator of Sin City was interviewed about the movie and he claims its the best film from comic translation ever.

From what I've seen in the previews, it looks like the script, props, costumes, and even camera shots were taken directly from the comics.

Does this movie have anything to do with that PC game of a few (5 or 6) years ago?

You mean SiN that fps that used the quake engine. Nah nothing to do with Sin City, the maker is seriously protective of his work. Took a long time for R. Rodriguez to convince him to let him do a movie, he even made one of the short stories into a mini movie (which is in the movie) before he had the rights to show Frank Miller what the movie would look like.

I'm going to try to grab some frames from the trailers and scan the panels from the comics I have to compare them.

I'm really excited about seeing this movie. It looks really good.

The Sin City movie website lets you design your own desktop. The photo of Jessica Alba in the custon desktops section has just the right amount of belly.

Nope. I don't have permission to edit either of those messages I wrote.

I really think there's some setting blocking me from editing a message if a certain amount of time has passed, or if it has been read.

I can edit stuff (like this message) as long as I click the edit button soon after I posted the original message.

Oh man... it's showing the edited info now as well. It used to be that I could do edits without leaving evidence that I had edited.

Anybody else have this problem? Say Yes or No.

I think I'm going to see this movie tomorrow, bte.

Got free passes from the movie theater's HQ... and Sin City is Rated R.

Saw it today. I liked it, but mostly because I liked the books (of those that I read).

I came to a realization watching it, though. There is a reason that books and comics aren't taken directly from the pages to the screen. A certain amount of emotion needs to be conveyed with words that can't otherwise be conveyed. Now when you have a live actor there and you add the dialogue as it is on the page, it takes it a bit over the top. When you add really talented actors, the words can take it way over the top.

But because of its "film noir" feel, Sin City is able to pull it off better than most films could.

And there are really hot women in it.

and boobies.
