Since TPR threw out the recommendation for Burn Notice, I figured it'd be a good time to recommend Psych. Season 2 starts this Friday, June 13th.

The premise is about a guy raised by his cop father (played well by Corben Bernson). Due to his father's training throughout his childhood Sean (the main character) develops the ability to see all the details of any situation that most people would miss. The problem is that he's lazy and doesn't want any sort of real job, so he pretends to be a psychic. He opens an office with his best friend Gus and they get hired by the police and private clients to solve crimes.

This show is pretty damn funny. Sean and Gus have, arguably, the best banter between two characters on TV. Sean is the lazy beach bum type with no fear of breaking the rules, while Gus is a pharmaceutical salesman who is very conservative.

There's no overall storyline to worry about following, but if you like Monk or Burn Notice, I'd recommend giving it a look this Friday. Plus, Dr. Frank-N-Furter is guest starring.

I like this one a lot.

Gus is played by Dulé Hill, the guy that was Charlie Young on The West Wing. He's a good actor. And ever since I saw the Celebrity Poker special I have his name stuck in my head from when they were chanting it: "Dulé! Dulé! Dulé, Dulé, Dulé!"
