This is on Netflix so the boy and I have been watching it, since we just finished watching "Avatar: The Legend of Korra" on Nickelodeon, together (Avatar: The Last Airbender is also on Netflix, we watched that a while back).
It's actually pretty good. The first 6 or 7 episodes introduce the characters, they all get their episode to shine. And then they keep trying to come together, but there is a lot more interpersonal conflict than the movie showed.
And they keep having supervillain fights that have a huge, implied death count.... one such fight takes place in NYC, and after 10 minutes there is a half-mile-wide crater in the middle of Manhattan. Someone says, "You put millions of lives in jeopardy!" at the end, but I think we just saw a million people killed. We are not even half way through the series, I think. Good stuff.
My only real complaint: whoever they got voicing Tony Stark sounds a lot like Jack Black... kind of goofy. That was a misstep, since I am used to RDJ.
Anyway, surprisingly good, for a cartoon.
