Release date set.

I assume they'll wait to see if part 2 does any good at the box office...

I love how the article talks about them trying to fix the problems and making fans happy and then picks another villain that changed into a gun.

Both his and megatrons transformed modes were stupid in their original toy forms but saying you are going to try and please the purists this time around and then picking a robot you are going to have to change doesn't make much sense.

Is Starscream more than just another clunking hulk of nondescript metal? & one (almost) wonders how they'll write out the raging biatch.

They don't have to worry about making the hardcore fans happy if they'll just make a movie that's not shit.

My 4 year old LOVES these movies. As long as part 3 makes him happy, I don't care.

You're a parent. That kills your standards. You'll give 10 out of 10 to anything that keeps the kid out of your hair.

True. But I was also making a subtle point that these movies, so far, really appeal to 4 year old males. Too bad.

Michael Bay answers the question "Were the moon landings faked?" with a definitive NO... and yes.

Unexpected. Interesting. But I already see one hugely major technical flaw that could be a problem. Not that that sort of thing would stop Michael Bay, I guess.

Welp, that was a movie, all right.

Took a day to digest this flick a bit.

1. Another movie suggesting that skyscrapers can tilt and lean at a 40 degree angle and not fold up.

2. Optimus Prime might be the most brutal "good guy" since "The Bride" in Kill Bill. If you had as many slow-motion, graphic executions of humans in a movie instead of robots, this flick would be a hard-R, easily. Also he executes more helpless robots in cold lubricant, like in the 2nd movie.

3. Completely unrealistic how Sam Witwicky keeps pulling in the supermodels. Specifically, a supermodel who isn't interested in her handsome, charismatic, billionaire boss and instead likes Sam's poor, unemployed ass (but hey.... Loverboy Can't Buy Me Love). And her entrance in the movie was a long, lingering shot of her panty-clad ass. Not that I'm complaining about that part, but her opening 3 or 4 lines all we can see is a closeup of her ass. Stay Classy, Michael Bay.

4. The new robot has a famous actor as a voice, and that particular robot kept repeating lines from the voice-actor's previous iconic movies. Kept pulling me out of the film when they did that when I would hear the line and think, "Hey, yeah, just like when he said that in that other movie."

5. The robot space shuttle was, like, "huh?"

6. I'm still not really sure what the big robot worm was doing, or why.

In his defense, he does claim to have banged Megan Fox on set.

And I thought I couldn't think any less of Megan Fox...

I don't know, I'm starting to respect Shia. He doesn't seem to care what comes out of his mouth and who he pisses off.

Yeah, ever since he admitted that Indy 4 was shit, I kind of like the guy a little.

There's hope for him yet.
