An updated version of the show. Takes place in present time so Holmes is using texting/pcs and stuff and Watson is a vet of the Afghan wars. If you like other Sherlock Holmes stuff then you should love this and if you like mystery you should enjoy it too. You still have to buy into the idea that Holmes can just see stuff others can't so if you don't buy into that then you probably won't enjoy it.

It is streaming on Netflix right now.

Brilliant!

Well, there was the thing where he didn't see the one obvious and important bit that I saw as soon as we had our second victim and then continued not to see even when he surely should have which was a little aggravating, but apart from that it's really good. Even though it's updated it ties in well with the original mythology. And unlike many other renditions, they do really well by the character of Watson. He's not just along to play the straight man.

I've only just finished the first episode, but it was good enough I had to come and mention how good it was straight away. Hopefully it keeps being this good.

Yay! Still on Netflix.

They totally copy House. "Highly functioning sociopath" does work as a police investigator instead of a medical diagnostician. Geez they even copied House's name when they named this guy "holmes." Somebody from House better sue these people.

House is so far off the Holmes rails now. Holmes may be a bit of a sociopath, but he's not stupid. He won't be so anti-social that he ends up making is life massively more difficult because of it. Unlike House, who is stupid enough to get his ass thrown in jail for it. Among other things he's done.

I still enjoy House, but it hasn't really been a Holmes knock off anymore for several seasons.

I haven't seen House in 2 or 3 seasons. Lost track when the screwed up an episode DVR time for the Superbowl one year.

Second season was even better than the first, IMO.
