On Hollywood Babble-On, they have a segment titled "Things that should not be", and it covers things in movies you probably didn't notice. I want to share some of the interesting ones...

Yeah, I'd also noticed that.

edit - was referring to the star wars one.

There's the exact same situation in Ghostbusters when Dana is about to be taken by Zuul, and the arms pop out of her overstuffed chair and grab her. One of those hands clearly cops a feel.

Is that a black player that becomes a white player?

That might be a good candidate for "Is it racist?" on Tosh.0.

It sort of felt like I was channeling Dan when I said it.

I remember noticing that the first time I watched it. Not sure if the kid is just being creepy, or if he's trying to signal to someone that he needs to pee.

Wait, Ralph Garman is on a Smodcast?! I loved him from the first season of Joe Schmo Show!

I guess this is another podcast I'll have to subscribe to. I'm never going to catch up at this rate.

Wait, Ralph Garman is on a Smodcast?!

Yeah, he's on Hollywood Babble-On. Actually, he's really the core of the show, Kevin just happens to be the regular co-host. When Kevin's on the road other co-hosts have been Bill Burr, Jon Lovitz, Adam Corolla, and a few others I'm not remembering at the moment.

The show is honestly amazingly entertaining. Far, far better than it should be, but it really works. I'd recommend it to anyone on our forums who is a movie fan. You don't have to be into Kevin Smith at all, like I said, it's really Garmin's show. The only downside will be that 43 episodes in, they have really hit a groove and there are some inside jokes you'll need to catch up on like:
-Ralph's hatred for Chelsea Handler the "talentless cunt"
-Give that penis a sandwich
-How big is Liam Neeson's cock?
-Ann Heche's butthole, let's all go inside!
-Kevin would go gay for the Viking on True Blood.
-Ralph drinks Jack Daniels.
-Kevin is a pothead.
-All the segment theme songs were made by listeners. The mailbag one has a joke added at the end that wasn't there in its original version until Kevin complained that he wasn't mentioned in the song. I laugh every time I hear it.
-Ralph is a very talented impressionist. They recently did an episode (#42...?) that's only about 30 minutes long and is them reading an issue of Batman that Smith wrote (Honestly, some of Smith's best writing ever, and he's two parts into a trilogy.). Garmin does Ed Win as the Joker, Al Pacino as Maxie...something, Sean Connery as Commissioner Gordon, and Adam West as Batman. It's fucking awesome. Although, you should go get the book to read along if you plan on listening. Smith's new character that he created for this series is absolutely brilliant and you've got to see him on the page to see what they're talking about when they say he'd be impossible to put into a movie unless Michael Winslow played him. The character is Onomatopoeia.

For those of you reading this thinking "Who is Ralph Garman?" He's mostly famous for doing radio shows. Not sure if he is a primary host on any, but he does all sorts of spots and is known for the voices he does. In fact, he's got a huge following called "The Garmy", and Kevin credits him with selling out the SModcastle so much that they had to move to the much larger Lovitz Theater, and actually saved it from going out of business. Seriously. People are in the audience every week not just from around the country, but from around the world. I think there's been an Australian there for 4 weeks running.

For you B movie fans, Garmin played a radio dj in Sharktopus, and uttered the famous "Damn you Sharktopus!"

He also has a role in Red State, which is Kevin Smith's latest film that, and some of you might want to sit down, is getting some Oscar buzz for the performances. Seriously, it has a very acting heavy cast.

Again, if you like films, I can't recommend the podcast enough. The segments are:
-Shout outs (welcoming people who traveled far or have special events and a lot more entertaining than you're thinking)
-Mailbag
-Hollywood Stiffs
-Hollywood Helpers (this is sadly rare)
-Entertainment news (with sub categories of Lindsay Lohan news and the talentless cunt updates)
-Things that should not be
-Geek news
-How big is Liam's Neeson's cock

It's perfect to listen to while mowing the lawn because the sound volumes are pretty good for a podcast. Something I've realized Bill Burr's podcast isn't as good at.

For you reality show fans, and for those that hate reality shows, Ralph Garmin was also the host of the first season of The Jow Schmoe Show, playing the part of The Smarmy Host. By far the second best reality television series ever produced (but just the first season, the second was crap) and certainly the best fake reality show ever made.
