The Captains - an EPIX Original Documentary produced and directed by William Shatner. In The Captains, he travels the world to connect with each of the actors who have played Captains over the long life of the Star Trek franchise. Shatner recalls his own experiences in the role that made him a star by interviewing Patrick Stewart, Kate Mulgrew, Scott Bakula, Avery Brooks and Chris Pine while interweaving clips from their respective shows and movies.

I heard Avery Brooks was a "black power"-style punk bitch, and it killed any chance of cast camaraderie off-set.
Not sure about the "Black Power" stuff, but I also heard from various sources that he was a major asshole. He's the main reason I never watched that show. He just seemed like a jackass.

He always seemed to be trying to develop his own distinctive vocal style of delivering lines, like shades of Shatner. And his just made him sound more like a douche.
