Funny English indy film that reminds me a lot of Shaun of the Dead in it's style and humor.
Several friends decide to help their buddy get over his divorce by going on a "guy's weekend". Every single one of them is given grief about this by their significant others (if they have one).
They arrive in a small English town called Moodley, and discover that the women in town have become crazy killing machines, and all the men are dead. I won't explain how, but they get trapped in town and spend the rest of the film trying to survive.
This is pure dark comedy, and while the storyline is complete garbage, the acting, visuals, and dialogue are really entertaining. And yes, it's badly written: Characters don't act "real", the women are too cheesy for words, flimsy excuses to get separated, a horribly predictable final scene, etc. But that's the point of the film...
I probably enjoyed this more than I should have, and I would venture to guess most of you will as well. Although, don't watch it with the wife. The overall theme of the movie won't go over well since this film doesn't exactly show women or marriage in a good light.
Pure tongue in cheek, gory fun.
6.5 out of 10. (I could easily be talked into a 6 or a 7.)
