I have no idea what Marvel is doing with Captain America the movie.
This just seems to be an odd choice all around. This guy has to share a screen with Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson and be seen as a good friend and an equal. Not only that, but both of them have to look at this kid as an inspiration. A man they'd follow into hell.
Captain America has a teenage sidekick, yet this kid they've cast looks like a teenager.
I'm really hoping that Marvel is intentionally only giving us half the story with the USO thing and now this casting. I'm praying this is all early war and origin stuff. Hopefully, when they break him out of the ice, he'll be Mark Valley.
On that note, on Chris Evans' IMDB page there is no listing for The Avengers. There is on Robert Downey Jr.'s and the guy playing Thor...

He also would reprise the role in "The Avengers," which will unite Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the Incredible Hulk (Edward Norton) in one pic. That film is skedded for May 4, 2012.

That sucks.
I really hope he works out, ala Heath Ledger as The Joker.

Check him out in the movie Sunshine, sometime. He played a dick-leader type, but ultimately everything he said was right, and they should have listened to him.

That movie was hideous. The one where they have to jumpstart the sun? That's how it starts & it actually gets worse.

I still think Mark Valley would have been a far, far better choice for Captain America.

I always pictured him with a bigger jaw. Old-school handsome, not 21st century girly man pretty.

He's been around a LOT longer than Freddy Krueger.

I'd say so. That's a Hydra logo on his belt.

"Thank you, Dr. Stark."
And, I don't think I like the suit. Looks goofy in the setting. Although, I do like the copious use of guns to solve problems.

Now that I find interesting.

People forget that Captain America used guns in WWII.
Too bad Sony owns the rights to the X-Men characters or we could have seen a Wolverine cameo during the WWII scenes in this film.
If they stick to cannon, we could see a young Nick Fury...

How do you get the trailer to play? I've tried updating Flash, but it didn't help. I just get a black screen.
