An indy film which has a quote on the box cover comparing it to Jaws.

Yeah, massive red flag right there...

3 friends go skiing and get stuck on the mountain after everyone has gone home. Their efforts to survive is what the film is really about.

The biggest issue I have with this movie is the way reality is ignored to tell a story. Cold is a MAJOR factor here and gets acknowledged, but not in the way it should. You don't survive sub freezing temperatures for days without food and water. Sorry, that's a fact. And you sure as hell don't do it while barely showing any signs of frostbite.

The second biggest issue is how stupid everyone in the film has to act to move the story forward. From the way they get trapped to the decisions they make while stuck to the way they blew a slam dunk rescue within the first few hours of their situation. The list goes on and on and on.

Even the wildlife was written incorrectly.

It's too bad because they do have some moments that echo Jaws, specifically the U.S.S. Indianapolis scene. No, nothing that powerful and well acted, but characterization was obviously important to the writer (he also directed), and that's the film's strength. It's too bad everything else was pretty bad.

4 out of 10.

About some kids that get left on a ski lift after the resort closes for the week.

Horrible. Just horrible. Just, so completely and utterly horrible. Just. Horrible.

So, watch it if you want to see a really horrible movie. Otherwise, watch something else.

Leisher: Days? I saw less than a 24 hour period. They were going up the lift at night, by late afternoon, early evening the next day, the movie was over. They only spent one night on the lift. And I think your 4 out of 10 is WAAAAAYYYYYYYYY too generous. I was going to point out some of the awful stuff in a spoiler section down below. But, that would mean I'm spending more time on this movie than it deserves! Everything leading up to them getting stuck on the lift was acceptable. Everything that happened after that was just . . . . . horrible. Just stupid, ignorant, dumb, illogical, retarded, etc. Horrible. Even the wildlife aspect. Horrible. I REALLY wish I had never watched this movie.

I tend to rate indy films higher, but I could absolutely see scoring this as a 2.

And they were there multiple days, at least two. I haven't seen the movie in months, but I know for a fact that the sun went down twice.
