I'm pleased. I liked the original, in spite of a couple big flaws.

Hopefully, it doesn't devolve into Ron Perlman spouting one-liners w\ filler in between.

I liked it. The fantasy elements were more in-line with the cartoons I've seen, and the couple of comics I've read.

Although, I'd like tos ay 2 things:

1. I HATE it when groups of people shoot at swarms of things with their little single-shot hand guns.

2. A group of... well, retards.... came into the movie 10 minutes late. Not 10 minutes into previews... 10 minutes into the movie. It ws dark so took another 10 minutes to get up the few steps, organized, and seated. They filled up half the row directly in front of me. One of them, literally, barked through the entire movie. Another of them moaned loudly through any action scene. Others would just randomly say unintelligible things. BUT... I won't give them any flack, they need to get out sometimes, too. Their presence just pretty much made me miss half the spoken lines and destroyed any immersion I could have had in the movie, so I am looking forward to the BluRay release, my living room with surround sound, and I have some duct tape for the wife's mouth.

Re 1) I hated that scene, too, that was awful. As portrayed they would have been eaten 100 times over in the time frame involved. The rest of the movie rocked quite muchly, though.

Finally saw this film, and I liked it.

The story was a little "eh". Particularly if you stop to think about it. The main villain's weakness is so obvious, and such a huge flaw, that he'd have no shot of conquering the world.

And yeah, the swarm scene sucked.

Still, the characters carried this film, and they did a great job of giving them enough chances to shine. It wasn't perfect, but it was entertaining.

75% of this movie sucked out loud. The remaining 25% made it watchable. It should be noted that the 25% I'm talking about didn't involve one of the main characters bitching about their significant other or lame-ass emotional arguments.

They may as well've called this Hellboy, 90210.

& yeah, quite a shitty villain. Conflict could've been resolved way earlier. & it just got drug out.
