A girl wakes up inside a casket with no idea who she is, where she is, or how she got there. That's when the guy with the chrome skull mask shows up and all hell breaks loose.

That might sound like standard horror fare, but this movie is entertaining.

It has flaws mind you. It's not going to win awards for its plot, but you won't mind. In fact, the characters are generally stupid and shallow. The killer isn't given motive for his rampage. Lots of moments occur that will require you to force your suspension of disbelief into the "on" position. However, it all works into making this a fun slasher film.

If you're like me, this film will grab your attention when the killer retrieves his weapon following his second kill. For an indy film, the special effects are generally pretty kick ass. Hell, they'd be great for a studio film.

The acting is decent enough. There are some moments that are bad (I blame the director for some of those moments) and some that are pretty good. Nobody's performance is so bad that it'll hurt your enjoyment of the film.

Overall, if you're a fan of horror, particularly the slasher flicks with a cool killer, this film will entertain you. There are some serious gore moments amplified by some impressive special effects.

7 out of 10.
