Simon Pegg is a celebrity rag writer who gets hired to work at a new magazine in New York. The problem is that he's not a people person and looks down upon celebrities and those who idolize them.
The story revolves around Simon's attempts to fit in and eventually overcome his inability to exist socially in New York.
His love interest here is played by Kirsten Dunst, and she's oddly kind of good here. She's got issues of her own, which make her character pretty realistic.
Really though, this movie is about Simon. If you don't like Simon Pegg, then you won't like this film.
It's light, but has a lot of pretty funny stuff. Nothing that makes it a classic as you'll see most of the jokes coming, but it is entertaining.
A movie you can watch with your significant other for a few laughs.
6 out of 10.
