Some no name guy stars as a limo driver whose gambling debts cause a bookie to send a contract killer after him. A short chase later and he winds up in a private casino being treated like royalty until he meets his host played by Billy Zane.
This next little tidbit becomes obvious exactly 3 minutes into the movie, so I don't consider it a spoiler:
This is "The Most Dangerous Game" with Billy Zane as the hunter.
To be honest, it's not a terrible film. The acting is bad. The action is a bit over the top. Is it a waste of Billy Zane? Yes.
However, it does end up being an entertaining film despite being pretty cheesy and predictable.
I really have no idea why Billy Zane hasn't become a bigger star in Hollywood, he can act circles around most people. Here, he's collecting a paycheck and it's sooooo obvious, but it's still fun to watch.
I rented it for $1 and don't regret it at all.
5 out of 10.
