Owen Wilson is a homeless man who spends his days stealing and conning. One day he responds to an ad for a bodyguard. That's when he meets the three kids at the local high school being terrorized by an emancipated bully.
From there it's standard Hollywood scripting by the numbers as the con man learns his lesson and tries to do right by the kids and blah, blah, blah.
It's not that the movie is boring (although I did play video games at the same time), it just has nothing you haven't seen before.
Rent it if nothing else is in and the sight of Owen Wilson doesn't make you want to punch the TV. You won't hate yourself for doing so, and it's one you can enjoy with the spouse. Just expect to forget it soon after.
