I just heard about this today.

Ted Turner is a known liberal... first he kills service during McCain's speech at the RNC, and now he dumps the entire network in the weeks running up to the election?

Coincidence?

Or do I not have my facts straight?

Apparently we no longer have the Fox network, here. And my House isn't DVRing.

I figure Ted Turner is limiting a swing state's exposure to republican-positive programming.

If Obama wins, it'll be outlawed anyway.

Channel 13 did the same thing recently. It was over royaltys for showing thier channel. The evil TW didn't want to pay any. 13 and later 24 started showing direct TV commercial with 50$ off incentives. They ended it before they dropped 13.

You guys can't see it, but FOX is now airing Direct TV commercials like crazy.

One is locally produced and talks about "getting revenge on Time Warner" by signing with Direct TV.

Buckeye Cable almost dropped NBC24, but they apparently reached a compromise.

I went to Dish TV yesterday, and canceled Time Warner. I'm now enjoying the MNF game in HD for $30/less month than cable without HD.

Cable. Sadly no alternative yet, although supposedly AT&T U-Verse will be here before the end of 2009.
