I picked this up on a whim as I thought I saw it previewed somewhere and it looked sort of interesting. As it turns out, it wasn't a waste of time.
Jeff Bridges lives in a small town and has a habit of leading many of the town's inhabitants into stupid get rich quick schemes. The town is made of one many odd types, most of whom are familiar faces. It's a regular "B-list" and "Supporting actor" reunion.
Jeff's latest scheme comes after his realization that he has nothing to show for his life and he's embarrassed by that. He comes up with an idea to make an amateur porn and the people in the town get on board.
This film is funny in a "this is kinda of realistic" way. Sure, the characters are exaggerated, but their trials and tribulations in trying to make amateur porn are very believable. Hell, even though they're exaggerated, the characters themselves have a lot of realistic qualities.
Worth a rental and you can watch it with your significant other. There might have been nudity, but I don't think so. It's mostly just lingerie. In fact, I think Ted Danson, who is pretty good here in a role you haven't seen him in before, is the closest the film comes to nudity.
Don't go out of your way for it, but you won't regret it. A decent, funny feel good movie.
