Smart move. Those who watch the show would probably still get the DVDs while making the episodes available free gives curious people the opportunity to get exposed to the show.

Offering versions of TV shows online has not hurt television ratings, and may have actually helped. "One does not diminish the other by any stretch of the imagination. That is kind of our hat trick," MTV Networks Chairman and Chief Executive Judy McGrath said at the Reuters Media Summit in New York on Wednesday.


Wow, amazing how a suit from one of the most whorish, cash-oriented networks in the world just said this & yet somehow the success supposedly doesn't translate to the world of music.
