It honestly wasn't horrible. Don't get me wrong, it WAS horrible, but it was funny as hell.
This is one of those movies where the director is telling you right from the start "We're just having fun here, so enjoy the ride." This is cheesy horror from start to finish.
The shocking part of this film is the look. It actually seems like they spent some coin on this film. The sets and props are really good and there are a few faces in the film that you'll know you've seen before. ("Sweep the leg!")
That being said, everyone and everything is a cliche. There's a cop and his prisoner, the mad scientist, the veteran pilot on his last run, the young pilot, the bitchy stewardess, the bleeding heart one, the horny one, the bitchy girlfriend, the cheaters, etc. Oh, and Tiger Tiger Woods y'all. Ok, not the real Tiger, but the character is Tiger.
The plot is that a top secret experiment is being transported on a commercial jet. An experiment that the pentagon is interested in, yet are not involved in. Still the people responsible manage to get an armed guard aboard the plane in the cargo hold to protect the container. Realistic so far right? Anyway, the predictable storm occurs and hilarity ensues.
Now apparently, planes are mostly made up of secret passages that lead to things like the bathroom mirror, which also must be two way. Also, if you see this film, keep your eye on the hole in the floor. That thing is pure comedy gold.
Overall this movie is total ass, but that's what makes it fun. This is for true B film and zombie lovers only. Hint: If you like stuff like Dead Alive, this movie might appeal to you.
2 out of 10 as a serious film.
7 out of 10 if you're not taking it seriously.
