1966 flick with Peter Cushing as Dr. Who. I picked this DVD up because I had fond memories of it from when I was 10.

There's actually only one semi-artistically-directed scene in the film... but it really does me no good to describe it as no one will see the movie.

I like this old, unintetionally campy movies because it gives me perspective... I can appreciate modern films better when I can see what they were built on.

I used to watch Doctor Who on PBS, or whoever was broadcasting the BBC stuff back when I was a kid.

I liked British stuff, like The Tomorrow People (which Nick. aired for some reason).

Actually it was better than the first. The robot men music cracked me up and the adventure was alright for an old movie. 7/10. I didn't realize there were so many Dr. Who movies out there. Disc 3 in the series arrives next and Netflix is tempting me with more every time I open it up.

Well, it is the longest running series in television history, isn't it? It's been on TV since just before they invented color television, I think. Anything else beenon that long?

Gordos' rigth about this old show being the forerrunner to todays sci-fi. In this movie the Robomen look like the forerunner to Robocop.

I'll give it that it's got the most episodes under its belt. But there've been lapses & lulls in its history. What's more, they've only got a couple Doctors left till they hit the theoretical limit on the number of regenerations a Timelord gets.

& I think "Meet the Press" has been on for ages as well.

The third disc in the Peter Cushing series is titled Dalekmania. A commentary on the making of the movies back when. If you have saw the movies you may remember the stunt guy doing a header off a second floor throu a canvas canopy. Someone missed the mark and he feel feet first and broke his ankle. They brought him back later in the day with a cast on to finish the scene.
If you liked the Who movies this disc isn't bad. Somewhere between 6 and 7/10

Netflix has 37 listings under Dr. Who spanning around 30 odd years. Listed as movies but I think they probably just use a season as a movie. The TV show featured Earth invasion 2150 before the movie came out.
