I glanced at a news article last night, and EVE said they are upgrading to their new server cluster tonight. MAJOR hardware upgrades and stuff.

So, expect lots of down time, lag, and other issues for the next while and plan your activities accordingly.

I was going to post on this, but I figured everyone would read it correctly when they logged in...

APPARENTLY NOT :)

The New servers are being installed Feb 21 from 8:00-8:00 GMT, I think they are going to be shooting for a full 24 hour down time.

This means that you will possibly want to set a long skill into training Monday, just in case they crash the server for more than a day.

Do the skills train when the server is down?
I would guess yes. I'm assuming they look at start stop times, rather than using some kind of counter on the server that only goes up when the server is running or something.
