I haven't seen any spoilers for Episode 3, excapt I just read a snip that called it "Titanic in Space."

Ok, here's my 100% original speculation: Vader will blow up a ship upon which, unbenownst to him, Padme was fleeing with the kids. Padme will be trapped on the ship as it floats off into space slowly blowing up a piece at a time, and she'll send the kids on a life raft without her.... and they'll be split up as the resuers get separated by an explosion, and end up on separate escape pods.

This must be more of Lucas's revisionist history. If you remember Return of the Jedi, Leia told Luke her mother was sad. So she was with her mother. Luke was brought to Uncle Owen by Obi-wan. Not sure where they said this. Leisher some help, please?

As for 'Titanic in Space', maybe it will sink at the box office. Hope not. I'm looking forward to Vader going ballistic.

Leia did tell Luke her mother was sad in Jedi.

I thought it was revealed in E4 that Obi-Wan brought Luke to Uncle Owen. Maybe it wasn't, but I'm pretty sure it was said at some point.

I'm also pretty sure that Obi-Wan or Yoda told Luke they seperated him and Leia intentionally. Their purpose was to increase the odds that one of them would survive to fight Vader. Thus the "no, there is another" line.

In fact, that line would indicate that Obi-Wan didn't know about Leia either...?
