Yeah, the Jew-haters really hate that company.

Why do liberals or lefties generally think Israeli is evil and oppress the Palestinians?

That's always vexed me.

Btw, ScarJo gets respect for taking the money.

My honest opinion is that those who aren't simply racist against Jews are just morally ignorant.

They aren't exactly on good terms.

I don't think either side is innocent of being assholes. That's my point.

Why do they choose one over the other? Why do they choose the side that uses suicide bombers? That has ties to organizations that bomb us? I don't get that.

Are they completely unaware of the realities of the world?

Most of the insane fundie Muslim countries don't make much that we care about. They pump oil out of the ground and that's about it. You can boycott the "make your own soda" machine. You can't do the same for gasoline.

Honestly, I think it's because the Progressive movement in this country was walking hand in hand with the socialists and communists until WWII. At that point they had to part ways with the National Socialists of Europe because it became pretty clear that if you followed the ideas of the Progressive movement to their logical conclusion you ended up with what the Nazis were doing.

At this point they don't even question why they hate Jews. They don't understand where the roots for this hated came from. They just continue it.

I'm not a fan of helping out either side any longer, or taking them seriously. They're quite determined to beat the shit out of each other until the end of eternity.

I see the non-jews as the aggressors who generally don't care who they kill, as long as it is jewish. One can argue about borders and the right to exist, but the UN approved the state to begin with and the current borders were land israel won after they were attacked in a war where every one of their neighbors wanted them exterminated. Israel could take out their neighbors whenever they wanted, if they wanted to.

Actually the land in question was won twice. The first time was in the war in 1948 right after they were made a nation. They took all those lands and then split them up amongst (I think it was the usual Egypt and Jordan) and kept half the land for themselves. And the first thing Egypt and Jordan did was kick the Palestinians out of their new property. But for some reason only Israel is accused of stealing their land.

Then they took that land back when they were attacked again in the 60's.

Israel could take out their neighbors whenever they wanted, if they wanted to.

And create ten billion stateless terrorist cells that they'll never track down.

They wouldn't care about tracking them down, they would just get serious about closing their borders.

Since I'm fairly sure they aren't going to step up to the "world pariah" podium any time soon, I'll say a military option like that's off the table.

Well, in the first place, some would argue that they already are.

Secondly, the USA seems to be backing away from the world somewhat, evidenced by the thumb twiddling over the Ukraine. Why shouldn't Israel take their fate into their own hands? They could secure the region by themselves, and then all they have to worry about is Russia rolling in. But why would Russia do that? Not much oil there.

I have no doubt the Israelis could take care of themselves if they decided they had enough of playing nice.

I think if Israel is going to go that route they need to do it soon. I suspect we're about allow Iran to go nuclear in exchange for help with ISIL.

CEO: Israel is an apartheid state.
At first, Birnbaum blamed government bureaucracy and said he expected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to sort things out. This week, he said he had learned the permits would not be renewed and accused the prime minister of forcing SodaStream employees out of work.

"Those 74 Palestinians now cannot cross the border crossing and get to their jobs," Birnbaum says. "I have jobs for them in Israel, and Benjamin Netanyahu is not letting them get to their jobs. Now go argue this is not an apartheid state. And that's why I'm furious."

Maybe Israeli companies will stop having problems if more countries push to not do business with Israeli companies.
