Of course, they tweet back emojis to silence the trolls, but for some reason this is setting off bells for me.
This feels like it's playing out exactly as Adidas intended. Like this was choreographed to elicit the response it did, get MSM attention, and then Adidas could respond with emojis, which really isn't super strong support in the grand scheme of things.
My point is I think Adidas did this with the intention of getting free PR when the trolls they baited responded. Brilliant.
