I have heard many media outlets claim that part of the problems is that greek people are notoriously lazy. Imagine if someone in america said that about Mexicans, or something.

I've seen articles on this situation blaming the socialist policies for creating a country that lives off of entitlements, and the thought of having those entitlements taken away, and having to actually work is what is driving the people crazy.

I tend to believe that more than "they're inherently lazy", mainly because I see the same thing with welfare families here. Plus, are they also suggesting that Italians, Portuguese, and the Spanish are all lazy too?

Greece buries itself a bit more.
But Pappas said the radical left government had no intention of making concessions.

"The message does not change. Either they accept it or they don't. There is no halfway house," he said. "The idea of us asking permission to legislate is out of the question," he said, after a Greek government source released a document on Thursday said to outline Germany's requests, including a demand that Athens "refrain from announcing" new reforms.

Stop spending other people's money, then, asshole.

One dumb-ass response deserves another. They've got some fucking brass ones.
Germany’s economy minister branded Greece’s demand for €278.7 billion in reparations from the second World War as “stupid“ on Tuesday, while the German opposition said Berlin should repay a forced loan dating from the Nazi occupation.
