Look, print is dead, but Playboy is trying to make itself relevant again by no longer showing nude women.

Their thinking is porn is free on the internet, and they're right. However, Playboy's nudity was tasteful, and they were able to get celebrities to drop their clothes, which was always a big deal.

Should be interesting to see if this saves them or is another nail in their coffin.

I was just about to post this.

Yeah, I have no idea. Playboy has been dying for years.

Maxim recently remade itself as well to not be as crude. Now it just feels like something searching for identity.

Supposedly, the website traffic went up 4x once they went non-nude. But magazines are dying all over the place.

If they want to drop the stigma of nudity (or porn) they should have created a new brand. Maybe an off shoot of Playboy.

Now they will still have the stigma, plus they'll have turned off longtime readers.

Playboy with no porn is like beer without alcohol.

Last nude issue will include old, shriveled titties.

Was Betty White unavailable?

Pamela Anderson was attractive before the surgeries. After the surgeries she looked like a plastic toy, fucked musicians, hung out with Courtney Love, and got an infectious disease.

Edited for redundancy.

That was fast.
After one buttoned-up year, Playboy is bringing nude photographs back to its magazine.

Cooper Hefner, the son of magazine founder Hugh Hefner, announced the move on Twitter Monday saying, "I'll be the first to admit that the way in which the magazine portrayed nudity was dated, but removing it entirely was a mistake."

I'm not too surprised. On the one hand, if you need nudity, there's no shortage of it in the world. On the other hand it kinda gave Playboy something different.

Suddenly I'm interested in Playboy again.

There's a place for tasteful nudity.
