kidnapped and buried kids back in 1976. All the kids lived.
I'd never heard of this story before, but man that's f'ed up. I cannot believe those people ever got out of jail.

Despite coming from well-to-do families, the three kidnappers were seeking a $5 million ransom.
That's why they're getting out. They have money and the US legal system is a fucking joke.
All three kidnappers became eligible for parole after an appeals court overturned their original sentences. The appellate court ruled the men caused no serious bodily injury; therefore they should have the chance for parole.
That's absurd enough that it should cause the immediate disbarment of the judges on that court.
