My father's been making that for my step-mother. All perfectly legal in their state, and with her medical problems. But it's been interesting watching an old physicist turn into a chemist.

If you've got lab experience, it probably helps. I guess butane is also substantially less dangerous than all the shit that goes into ice. I think they've got oral sprays in that level of concentration, too.
