Epic analogy fail.
“Had the clerk issued marriage licenses to 12-year-olds in violation of state law, would anyone seriously contend that each 12-year-old … is entitled to a hearing on the validity of his ‘license’?” the state wrote, according to a story on the Philly.com.

A couple months later comes the other foot.
In the filing, Corbett administration lawyers compared gay and lesbian couples to children, noting that neither may legally marry in Pennsylvania.

"It was an inappropriate analogy, you know," Corbett said. "I think a much better analogy would have been brother and sister, don't you?"

No, that is not a better analogy. Not unless one believes that homosexual marriage leads to a much higher incidence of birth defects. Perhaps next you should try some sort of analogy involving issuing marriage licenses to dogs?
