From here.
Al Jazeera's U.S.-based outlet Al Jazeera America will launch Tuesday at 3 p.m. ET, and if it turns out anything like what its executives promise, it can't debut soon enough for some young people.

"It's one of the most intelligent news agencies in the world today," says University of Vermont junior Ben Lindstrom-Ives, 21, who is majoring in Middle East studies. "People my age are tired of watching reported news that's slanted to the left or right. We want to look at the news without seeing a political affiliation."

I'm sure there's no bias.

Young people are just so painfully stupid.

Age of majority should be 35, at this point.

That first sentence is a correct statement of fact. They're one of the only news organizations left that have the legitimate right to use the word "journalism" without feeling intense shame.

That doesn't mean they don't have bias, though. They very much do.

Getting news without bias is almost impossible.

That's nothing new, though, it has always been thus. The incidents of being biased on purpose are also not new, but they are more flagrant among the so-called legitimate media than in the past. The real problem, however, is incompetence and laziness. The vast majority of reporters these days are either so stupid you wonder how they can remember how to breathe, or they just don't give a shit and phone it in every day.

At least Al Jazeera does the work. And they do make a passing attempt at minimizing their bias. Mostly. Ish. At least compared to the other big players in the industry.
