I like #1, but #2 sealed it.

Brett Favre should be a permanent #1 on that list. Chris Johnson anyone?

Current players, I assume.

Urlacher, Lewis, Polamalu, and Manning seem like sour grapes from other players.
Urlacher and Lewis are now old, but were easily some of the LBs and field generals of this era.
Polamalu is a hall of famer who has done things I've never seen anyone else do, and who team has a losing record when he's not in the lineup. He has two rings.
Manning has two rings won with game winning drives.

Urlacher and Lewis, as much as I hate those dudes, they had an impact. Eli Manning I'd keep in there. I swear there's two versions of him. One knows how to manage a game and throw a football accurately, the other knows how to fumble and throw picks.

Come to think of it, I'd put Jamaal Charles in. Revis, too. If the Jets hadn't been giving up scores like a alcoholic freshman with self-esteem and daddy issues, maybe not. Matt Stafford, as well.
