I don't know if we've discussed these before, but apparently they're spreading rapidly and about to hit the Great Lakes. Lots of scientists are saying it'll be a environmental disaster if that happens.

I guess hunting them has become a big thing. Essentially the rules are: "Do whatever the fuck you want, just kill them. Lots of them."

There was a Kentucky Afield episode awhile back where the host Tim Farmer went bow fishing for Asian carp (also called bighead carp).
Tim only has full use of one arm, and landed a nice one. (On a recent show he said he's shot them a lot bigger but they break the line)

Evidently they fry up very nicely. The only problem is that there are a lot of little bones.
