Article.

With nothing else to fix in his state, governor Bill Richardson wants to pardon Billy the Kid.

Why?

I can't figure that part out. Where's the "win" for his constituents or even himself?

No matter what you thought of Billy the Kid, he absolutely killed people, including law enforcement officers, so why the pardon?

What am I missing here?

Well, he was promised a pardon by the Governor that he never got. Don't want people to think that New Mexico welches on it's promises.

And we were promised a country where we can speak freely, bear arms, and speedy due process. How come the majority is disappointed and the promises made to criminals are honored?
I'm just saying.
