Paul's recent post of a girl being proposed to through a glory hole (I really want to hear the story on that one) inspired this post.
I'm not judging those who do, but I've never understood the allure of the glory hole.
You're sticking your most cherished possession into a hole where an unknown is waiting for it on the other end. Man, woman, animal, psycho with gardening sheers, etc. could be on the other side.
I don't get it. Is it just that the guy is so desperate that he'll take any option to get off by another person's actions? Is it the danger that's exciting?
I think glory holes and furries are the same thing at their core. Instead of a wall with a hole in it for anonymity, the furries wear an animal suit...

I don't want to thrust boldly into the unknown with my prized possession.
It's going to be a dude most of the time. Even if I knew it was a woman, she's going to be something awful (a diseased troll).
Even if I was on a Sports Illustrated photo shoot and half a dozen ladies entered an empty room and then invited me to stick my junk through, I'd assume they'd have snuck the gay photographer in as a prank.
For the record the pic was something that some friends did for a Valentines Day card. The photographer posted pics of the set. The hole was copy/pasted in.
