I got fairly buzzed last weekend in Cleveland. Closest I have been to 'drunk' in about 10 years.
"Manager's Reception" at the hotel. Free drinks.

The guy who picked up the tab was the Chief Risk Officer for a private equity fund I consult for. He and another Director were there. They have good (or at least, expensive) taste in wines.
Man that was fun.

Speaking of birthdays. Do you realize what this year is? Only have a few weeks for someone in the family to either get knocked up or knock someone else up. I'm allittle old. Will is alittle young(I think?) Maybe hope for Benji to man up. Time to rile someone up. Family needs a baby by years end.

I made my first home-cocktail in about 15 years, tonight.... a tall, strong white russian. Feeling pleasantly... pleasant. Had a beer before I made it, and thought, you know, I am an adult and have the fixins. I got news of a minor financial windfall in the middle of drinking it, which proves that drinking is the solution to all of life's problems.
I've had the bottle of vodka for over 10 years. Bought the Kahlua last week.
