Those things are the worse. You need to use two hands to get the piece off without risking pulling it over.
Just put Kirkland napkins on the table like a civilized person, and mount a normal paper towel holder in your food prep area that you can use with one hand.

You need a heavier stand. Have you tried lead? In all seriousness, ours is heavy enough that it almost always works... but not always.

I only use them when at a relative's, or in a bbq restaurant.
Not in this house.
Most people have cutesey wooden ones that are a complete joke, and even the heavier ones in a restaurant never work without a stabilization hand.

We have a metal one that I wouldn't consider heavy and I've never had an issue.
Now if you want to talk about toilet paper not separating like it should, we can talk.
