Alexander Skarsgård, buff as shit, playing the Russel Crowe like role in a Viking Gladiator-like revenge movie. By the director who made The Witch and The Lighthouse. Blood, swords, pagan worship, Odin mythology.
It was fucking sick. Could not convince a single woman in the bay area to go see this with me, so went alone. Look forward to seeing this on your devices if you don't go see it in theaters, you'll like it.

I heard it was a retelling of Hamlet, and the main guy is actually named Amleth.
Subtle.

I saw the 13W connection in the same article talking about Northman/Hamlet. Still haven't seen 13w yet.

Ah ok I see. No, it's not about Hamlet at all. And if you like Crichton novels, it's based on his "Eaters of the Dead" which may have been re-titled by now as 13W; either way, if you like books better than movies it's a book too.

Lol Wikipedia says Hamlet was a retelling of this story. Who do I believe??!
Amleth (Latinized Amlethus, Old Icelandic Amlóði) is a figure in a medieval Scandinavian legend, the direct inspiration of the character of Prince Hamlet, the hero of William Shakespeare's tragedy Hamlet, Prince of Denmark.

I want to say I read it in a Slate link. Of course it would be 62% wrong.

Watched it last night on Plex.
I would say that it's pretty much exactly what you'd expect..... except the hero is a little more badass, and there's a slight bit more supernatural surrealism than I expected.
It's good, watch it. And they were clever with the camera angles that hid the fact Anya Taylor Joy has a flat ass.

She's interesting looking. Would.
I enjoyed the movie although I'd never watch it again.

It's not possible to be much flatter.
There was a SNL twerking scene I was surprised happened.
