Holy shit does this movie suck. My wife thinks Jaws 4 was the best in that series (I know...), yet even she thought this movie was terrible.

Four teenage girls go swimming in a hidden spot. Two of the girls are step sisters. Their dad found an ancient Mayan city somewhere nearby underwater. One of the their friends says they should go check it out. So all four gear up with truly expensive gear they find just lying around an a float in this hidden swim spot. They're going cave diving and two are not trained divers. Their masks do not cover their ears, yet they have full conversations at room level without issue...underwater.

Then there's the first fish they encounter that screams at them. Yeah, I'm not making that up.

The sharks they encounter are great whites that have evolved to not have sight. Pretty amazing they're as large as they are considering there's no fucking prey anywhere around.

The ending takes the stupidity up about 12 notches.

They also blatantly steal a gag from another shark movie. Bad acting. Bad direction. Shitty effects. Terrible writing.

I just can't with this movie. Horrendous. The only value would be for you scuba folks to watch and see how utterly wrong they get that stuff.

Both of these movies are lambasted by divers. That being said, the ear thingies for full.face mask communication are on the rubber straps outside of the mask.

There are days i.can barely hear the person in the crowd, and if I didn't already know what questions to expect I wouldn't be able.to.answer.

Just some days. Water electronics are funny.

Tell them to upgrade to the fancy ones
