I still think the first one had the most consistent use of time travel of any film.

The original Terminator did it pretty well too. It also sparked a lengthy discussion about how time flows since John Connor sent his father Reese back in time, yet Reese never would have met Sarah without that mission.

There's another movie out there that gets a lot of praise for doing time travel correctly: Timecrimes. I have seen it and thought I reviewed it here, but I might have forgotten to write the review.

How about Groundhog's Day?

And here's a scientist discussing which movies get it right.

Yeah, I really enjoyed that movie, but there were some pretty big logic holes.

My kids loved the first movie. I didn't let them watch the second.

Station! I said facetiously.

I see people swear that it was a brilliant movie.

I bought it, what the heck. We all kinda liked it, and it was warm and fuzzy, but it was missing a few notes, let’s say.

The more I think about it, the more the original just should have ended as it was with zero sequels.

But, I'm glad I bought it cuz maybe it'll mean more direct releases in the future.

I.dont think my local.theaters, where I have free tickets stacked up for the movie.club, are releasing it. They are screening old films and Tenet, though.

Yeah, Cinemark isn't playing it at all, as far as I can see. I'm guessing they are protesting against the "release at home on the same day" idea.

Just bought it on amazon for $25. We'll watch it at home I guess.

Overall, it was a nicer finale than having Bogus Journey end the series. It was cute, and had a few funny moments, but was just kinda flat.

I wouldn't exactly say FLAT... but it set up an impossible expectation: I, the audience, wanted to hear this song that would change the world.

And there's almost no way the writers could deliver that.

I'm not mad I bought it.
