Yay Hulu!

A group of home invaders break into the home of a scientist. What's in his basement is worse than them.

Clearly an indy film, but with decent production values.

The acting is ok. At times it's horrific, and at times you'll be impressed. The best part of the movie is this Vic Mackey wannabe that's the main villain. He plays his part well, and he has this cool monologue that, being the best written thing in the movie, felt way too real.

The writing was pretty subpar. I mean, the overall story was fine, but there were a LOT of why would anyone do that? Why wouldn't there be contingency plans? This doesn't seem like something you take home to work on? Really? The government would think everything is fine with this setup?

There's a scene late that makes zero sense. Characters simply don't change that much in mere seconds.

If you're crazy into zombies or indy horror, maybe watch it. Otherwise, skip it.
