Author is most right about #s 5 and 7... followed by #1. (The cliff should be slowly phased out, not a cliff; The matter of two parent families.... a separate issue)
The rest are blah blah blah conservative talking points about an ideal world filled with ideal people... particularly #6, on which the author could not be more wrong.

Let me add to his list:
#8 - Convince them to have kids. They're black holes for money.
#9 - Convince them to vote based upon social issues rather than economic ones.
#10 - Have them idolize people who essentially hit life's lottery, so instead of working hard to reach achievable dreams they sit around day dreaming about things that will never happen.
