Yes I did that on purpose. It's extremely puzzling to me why so many people use apostrophes when constructing plurals. I think I've noticed a pattern, though: it tends to happen more on nouns that end in vowels, and on proper nouns.

The vowel one might be because many words like that aren't regular (eg, hero and heroes). It still bugs the shit out of me.

It seems to happen less often than it used to. I think the frequent FB "grammar nazi" memes that go around actually do help.

But yeah, I read your title as "Plural is?"

My impression is that it is happening MORE often.
