I'm probably racist for having no idea what these movies were before this started trending on Twitter.

Later in the night, Michael Keaton made the same notable error when presenting the best supporting actress award, sparking the term #HiddenFences to trend on Twitter. While some users posted jokes and memes, others such as Gabrielle Union and Justin Simien noted their disappointment about the confusion and comedian-actress Robin Thede said, "All movies with black people don't sound alike."
Maybe Gabrielle and Justin need to pull the sticks out of their respective asses. And who the fuck is Robin Thede?

So is "Hidden Fences" a movie?

Hidden Figures
Fences
See, they both feature black people so getting them mixed up makes you a racist.
I've heard both are good films, although Hidden Figures plays with the truth. As someone said, "It's Hollywood, not a documentary." (As if documentaries are even truthful these days...)

Oh.
I guess that means I can't be racist since I didn't even know that movie existed.
Also if someone is offended over that then they are mentally ill and shouldn't be allowed to buy a gun.

No, no, no, see...NOT knowing those movies exist makes you racist. You should be out actively seeking out and supporting anything by black people. You owe it to them for slavery. If you can't accept that, you're racist.

They should be happy that for the first time there were enough black movies nominated so that people could be confused. Progress!
