Another person fired for having an opinion

George Takei posted and praised this story about a bank loan officer losing her job because of a "racist rant" on FB.
Here's the original story from the most "legit" news site carrying it, adn apparently where it originated. (The Daily Mail also has it, but every site is running the same article word for word.)
While I do question the validity of the article (for example, this lady still has a LinkedIn page and it still says she works at the bank...unless LinkedIn is showing deleted accounts) what really disturbs me is how the left learned absolutely nothing from the election.
This is public shaming at its worst, while the SJW nutjobs think it's at its best. You can't public shame racism away. You can't public shame away bigotry. If true, this woman lost her job for expressing an opinion. An ill informed and terribly spelled one, but still an opinion. Instead of being labeled "Racist of the Week" and costing her a job, someone could have simply engaged her in a logical debate, or better yet, ignore her.
All you've done is embolden her in her beliefs. In addition, you've emboldened all of the people in her life who are like minded. You've told them that they can't be open with their feelings and have to hide them. How'd that work out for you in the last election?
On top of that, what she said wasn't racist. (I'm not saying she's isn't a racist, just that what she said isn't racist.) The thing she said that the SJWs are calling racist is:
It's humorous and sad that the same people worried about being "oppressed" because Trump will be president spend so much time oppressing others.
"We need to get people to stop hating others and I have an idea on how to do that! Let's call them names, refuse to talk to them, publicly humiliate them, and do everything we can to take away their means of earning a living! That will end the hate!" I mean, the lack of logic in this strategy is staggering.

Not only is that NOT racist, the folks who think it is are the actual racists (I'll also accept that they're simply ignorant.). Her statement is one about finances. It's been said in about a billion movies and is implied as an insult to one whose financial success is less than another person. It has NOTHING to do with race or slavery. However, the SJWs brought race into it by pointing out that slavery existed in this country hundreds of years ago. Slavery is not and was not a crime committed solely by whites on blacks in the U.S.! But that's for another discussion.I prefer a man who can buy Michele (sic) and Barack and sell them several times over.
