Bombed at the box office. Why? According to the WSJ, rape allegations against it's director and star are why.

I'm sure that didn't help, but I have a different theory.

First of all, football.

Secondly, the election.

Third, white people are probably sick and tired of movies telling them how much they suck.

Fourth, it's a fall release, which is where Hollywood puts shitty movies.

Fifth, the ad campaign sucked. I was barely aware this was a thing, and even then I thought it was a TV series until last night.

It will find its target audience though, the people getting the bootleg from the barber shop, reminding them how badly the white man keeps them down.
